Fallece autor de "No Woman No Cry"

El compositor Vincent Ford, al que se le atribuye la letra de la canción "No woman no cry", uno de los principales éxitos del cantante de reggae Bob Marley, falleció a los 68 años de edad a causa de complicaciones en su diabetes e hipertensión que padecía. La enfermedad lo había obligado a permanecer en una silla de ruedas tras la amputación de sus dos piernas hace dos años.

Fue compañero de Marley en los años sesenta en el gueto de Trench Town de Kingston, que inspira las composiciones musicales del mítico cantante de reggae fallecido en 1981.

La famosa canción "No woman no cry" forma parte del álbum Natty Dread, editado en 1974, y uno de los principales éxitos mundiales del grupo Bob Marley and The Wailers en el que también figuraron Peter Tosh y Bunny Livingston.
